Our organizations are critical educational, cultural, and scientific institutions in our society, but the value of our work is not always fully understood. Learn how to tell the story of your organization and gain support through advocacy.

Advocacy is NOT lobbying. Whew. And it's not just about what goes on in Washington, DC. It's also local and simple. Join MAMA's Linda Endersby for a presentation explaining the basics of advocacy and simple steps you can take to build awareness and support.

By registering, you will also receive a resource packet with items you can use to advocate and with links to online advocacy information.

Linda Endersby, MAMA Board Member, has attended training and done advocacy in Washington DC during Museums Advocacy Day. She has also been involved in multiple advocacy efforts at the state and local level. You may also hear some tips from other MAMA Board members -- Amanda Langendoerfer, Candy Sall, and Sara Wilson -- who have also participated in Museums Advocacy Day and had advocacy training.

(You will receive a Zoom link and passcode upon registering. You will also receive information to join by phone if Zoom is unavailable for you.)
